Frank & Matt Studio Auto presents this pristine 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing Coupé, showing just 33,000 kilometers and accompanied by a complete service history. The entire body is protected by matte paint protection film (PPF), preserving the car while giving its unmistakable shape an even more distinctive appearance.
Introduced in 2009 and launched for the 2011 model year in North America, the SLS AMG represented a new chapter for Mercedes-AMG. Developed largely in-house by AMG, it was conceived as a modern interpretation of the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, most visibly through its long hood, cab-rearward proportions and signature roof-hinged gullwing doors.
At its heart is AMG’s naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8, hand-assembled in Affalterbach and producing 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle, contributing to the car’s near 47/53 front-to-rear weight distribution. Mercedes-Benz quoted a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 3.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 317 km/h.
Built around an aluminum spaceframe and featuring a dry-sump lubrication system, the SLS combined traditional front-engine grand touring proportions with engineering derived from high-performance motorsport applications. Its naturally aspirated V8, rear transaxle layout and hydraulic steering also give the SLS a distinctly mechanical character compared with the turbocharged AMG models that followed.
This example presents in pristine condition with only 33,000 kilometers, full matte PPF and comprehensive service records. With its naturally aspirated AMG V8, iconic gullwing doors and relatively brief production run, the SLS AMG has established itself as one of the most distinctive Mercedes-Benz performance cars of the modern era.
